Magic Flow is a liquid sorting game. The player helps a cat magic user who owns a retail potion shop create potions using bottles filled with different liquids that float in bands based on color. They must sort each type until they make one-color potions.
The game features two modes (i.e., Story Mode and Endless Challenge). In Story Mode, the player completes bagged potion orders in a level-by-level story. With Endless Challenge, they sort liquids and fill bottles in a shelving unit until time runs out on a green timer bar. Every completed bottle adds a few extra seconds to the clock, which means they could theoretically play infinitely. In both scenarios, the game auto-bags or stores the completed potions.
Magic Flow provides several tools to help the player. They pay for this help with coins or collect it as rewards for performing specific actions like daily check-ins and viewing advertisements. They can also earn extra coins and unlock tools with ad views. Additionally, ad views unlock extra empty bottles and color-matched order bags in Story Mode.
One tool option is a shuffle booster that rearranges liquids in two selected bottles in Story Mode and all bottles in Endless Challenge. The player can also use a hint tool to reveal two bottles that have matching liquids and a time booster to add extra time to the Endless Challenge timer.
