Water Drop Sort is a beverage-style water sorting game. The player sorts bands of bubbly colored water across bottles to create single-color fizzy, corked beverages. Their other goals are to earn coins, open gift boxes, rank high on a global leaderboard, win achievement medals, and unlock new levels.
The player receives previews of the beverages in the upper-left area below the coin bank. They sort the water by pouring one colored band of liquid at a time into an empty bottle or a gap above a band of the same color. If they pour from a bottle that contains more fluid than space in a gap, the game splits the liquid across both bottles.
Although this game provides guidance on where the player can pour via gold flashing arrows, it also requires them to plan out their moves several steps before they start sorting the water. Otherwise, they might run out of space. That said, the game also allows them to access and install empty bottles and undo previous moves.
Water Drop Sort offers gift rewards and new ways to play after the player completes a specific number of levels. For example, the player eventually unlocks mystery play that requires them to pour a band of liquid to reveal the color of a band hidden behind black paint and white question marks. It also eventually offers storage jars marked with gold rings that allow them to temporarily store liquid blocking other bands.
